SCREEN PRINTING FOR CLOTHING AND ACCESSORIES

$90.00

$72 - $81 for members (Apply Member discount at checkout), $90 for non-members

Workshop duration: 3 hours

Learn how to screen print your own t-shirts, bags, bandanas and more using an affordable DIY setup! This workshop is designed for beginners and will teach you how to set up, register, and print on clothing, accessories, and fabric with minimal equipment and tools. Participants will learn the best tips and tricks for printing on a variety of fabrics and forms and be empowered to create their own custom pieces at home.

Instructor and Co-founder of CPAC, Shawn Smith, will be sharing his 18 years of screen printing experience in both the commercial and fine art fields. Smith’s work encompasses serigraphy, aquatint, and mezzotint. He has worked as an assistant to Master Printer, Art Werger, and has exhibited his work both nationally and internationally in group shows including the 8th International Printmaking Biennial of Douro in Portugal, 24th Annual International Small Print Show in Chicago, Illinois, New York Society of Etchers 3rd National Exhibition of Intaglio Prints, and the Los Angeles Printmaking Society Members National Juried Exhibition where he was awarded the LA Printmaking Society Foundation Award.

Participants should bring up to ten items for printing. Approved items include clothing and fabric pieces. Items that can be pressed flat for printing will have the best chance of printing well (i.e. not baseball caps, for example). Please contact us at info@columbusprintedarts.org if you have questions about what to bring.
