Professional documentation can make all the difference when applying for jobs, grants, residencies, updating a website with new works, or presenting a portfolio. Some ephemeral artworks or installations exist only as images, making their careful digital conservation even more crucial. Over the course of two days, we will cover proper set up, lighting (available and strobe), camera capture, and editing techniques for achieving professional quality documentation of both two-dimensional and three-dimensional artworks in a variety of settings. Some previous knowledge of dslr camera functions and Photoshop or Lightroom is helpful but not necessary.
